how does why FAA allow noradio ac like Cub fly in US airspace w no radios ? smffh don't get it so unsafe Dangerous fir Everybody Else
nice vid luv this song tune
so why do they FAA still make u learn use it Test u on it for Ppl ? so Why ??
Starboard is right and port is left
Need more female pilots! Hopefully these women will join an airline one day. I am an avgeek in St. Petersburg. It is beautiful here. The Brit/aussie in the back sounds sexy!
It's interesting hearing your checklist versus the one I'm using here in CT. It's basically the same steps, but worded differently. Kinda fun to listen to that honestly. Also fun that I'm noticing that after having flown a Piper only three times so far.
My checklist is actually quite different. Aren't they all supposed to be standardized lol?
Nice landing gaz
when are we going to see a video to watch?
Gotta love bathroom emergencies in the sky 😂 been there done that LOL!!!
Great landing
I guess the turn coordinator took the day off? 😀 (Yes, I know, it's not required for VFR flight, but still...)
Just curious you were calling out your speeds which didnt match your airspeed indicator am I missing something? Nice landings!
So the lew dix landing method is abeam the numbers 1700 rpm and maintain altitude, first flaps, and then when you get to a certain speed you can start decending and turning base?
Good landing, any more videos in the near future
anyone for Tea and Crumpets?
What part is crap, that we all had to learn this, and now it is done on the electronic flight bag? I dont even have a paper chart anymore... is that bad? Lol
Miami and the Keys are great places to fly around!
As a trained pilot with an ifr rating from Tasmania I can say this plane is very small and probably a bit dangerous to be flying in the Florida thermals. I had a friend here who ended up in the flight levels down in boca.
Thanks for your insight. The LSA market here is very strong and I don’t personally know anyone who’s had this issue.
No brs not getting in. Getting into a single engine is an automatic emergency. I fly Jets and im trained when I have one engine it is tie to be walking.
Good for you on the jets. However, single engine here in FL is more common than anything else. My dad had 40+ years experience in flying single engine here - not a single issue to report.
@@ZeroThreeDelta I don’t know, seems a bit dangerous. Do you have a flight school with any brs planes down there. I’d like to learn how to fly ha again since I’ve been away from pistons for 14 years. I’m now retired but have a small whiners up her in PA
@@Mobev1The fact that you find single engine dangerous suggests you’ve been away from GA for far too long! LSA - I’d avoid that but there are PLENTY of places that will do instruction on 172SP’s or Archer III’s. You should try it!
great flight guys, good job and yep you just got beat in a land off!! cheers PPL NZ
Very nice. I share a 76 151 with my uncle. Its surprisingly capable.
They really are!
Awesome vid! After 1 minute I was already cracking up. Guys, quick question. I'm a private pilot that has not been flying for about 20 years now. Yes, 20 years. Thinking of getting back into it. Do you guys use terminal area charts and sectionals these days or is it all on tablets?? I've heard that the paper sectionals are a thing of the past. Subscribed!
Hey! They’re very much a thing of the past now. I used to carry them as a backup to ForeFlight but I don’t even bother anymore. With having a GPS, iPad and an iPhone, there’s plenty of redundancy.
@@ZeroThreeDelta Thank you very much.
Dude I really love that sound of the engine ignition and start. @@ZeroThreeDelta
What’s with crappy music.
It may not be to everyone’s taste but most seem to like it 🤷🏻♂️
Classic Muppets lol
Keep it up brother ain’t a whole lotta people with a mind like yours. We need more good pilots and ATC’s.
Thank you 🙏🏻
RyanAir.......
Hahaha 😂
hahahahaha
Tell the radio guy to chill on trying to sound so cool such as "blah blah Apoppppkaaaaaa" and maybe leave off taking God's name in vain !! Otherwise decent video......
Nice video and good job. I learned to fly in a Cherokee 140 and always love to see the old VW Bug door handles! Keep flying!!
You were at Bob White? Nice! I always feel like I'm landing on a private driveway when I'm there. lol
Very close! Orlando North (FA83).
@@ZeroThreeDelta Right! I always get those two confused when talking about them. Bob White is the grass strip. 🤦🏻 Thanks!
We fly ‘32043’ here in Kansas City! Lol
They’re siblings! 😂
Loved my Arrow II. Not one issue for 400hrs! Great little family airliner on 10 gph and 143kts. If Piper had made the flying surfaces sans the gaps that later required "speed mods" it would have been better. A modern cowling (like the Leopresti) with the intake plenum designed to use ram air pressure might get you 24" MP all the way to 8,000ft on most days. A gap sealed Hersey bar wing flies great AND they are faster than the III's. I or the family had to pee every 4hrs so we didn't need the 72 gal. tanks. A great little airplane!!!!
That guy at ATC is a rock star.
The hand brake not setting is the most relatable thing here
For me it's a long Runway 😅
Ohhhhh so that’s the helicopter that circles around universal!
They do have those, usually tour helicopters. I was flying a Cessna 172 on this occasion.
@@ZeroThreeDeltawhy a 172 and not 03D?
@@ZeroThreeDelta yeah I always wondered why they circled it
@@spelldaddy5386 It’s old footage. 03D is still on annual. Needs a new prop and the stabilator is getting a re-skin 😔
Love the Hp soundtrack
Nearly 1/2 a mile long - I could land a G6 there no problem.
Oh you can land almost anything there if you do it right. It’s shocking how many get it wrong!
Difficult to listen to giggly giggly.
Out of curiosity I looked up N32042 and unfortunately found a crash report. Looks like a taxi accident totaled the plane. That sucks.
Yeah it’s sad. The plane still exists but it’s in a hangar with the wings off.
Awesome shot
In your radio calls simply using "Cherokee" and no tail number is pretty poor practice given there's lot's of Cherokees out there.Who does another pilot call if they need to contact you when it's a CTAF and the Delta is closed? Dixon wouldn't be pleased! Good work otherwise Gareth!
Good point and noted. There’s been a lot of debate about this. People who believe calling the type, tail and color and others referring to just type. I don’t believe there’s an official way of doing it and, honestly, if it were busier I’d probably be more detailed. I flew to Williston a few weeks back and there were 5 in the pattern so I was using the call sign and the color of the plane but I appreciate being a little more consistent wouldn’t go amiss. Thanks for the feedback!
If you review the AIM and other non-towered radio guides, no where does it prescribe radio phraseology where you address another airplane directly. You simply state your position and intentions, and see-and-avoid everyone else. If someone doesn't provide their tail number in an effort to minimize useless and superfluous radio traffic, and you are incapable of not talking directly to them, then just refer to them by their type and location/intention.
There's a reason the PA-28 is the most produced aircraft in history. Oh wait... 😂😜
😂😂😂
Take a brick, put wings on it where it makes sense, flip it upside down. Now you have a Cessna.
😂
It was a beautiful flight! ;-)
Awesome approach and landing, soo soo stable
Fine landing 🙂
The one piece of gear you didn't mention (I think) is how you mounted your iPad to the yoke. Would you care to share that info?
